What Can We Expect Academically?
The Learning Canvas is committed to nurturing a love of learning in every student. TLC’s student-to-teacher ratio of 16:1 ensures that every student receives personalized attention and support. With a focus on collaboration, students participate in hands-on, literature-based projects that integrate the four, core academic subjects:
-
Literature & Language Arts – Reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar lessons built around high-quality children’s literature.
-
Mathematical Thinking – Hands-on math activities, games, and problem-solving.
-
Science & Nature Studies – Inquiry-based experiments, STEM projects, and outdoor exploration.
-
History & Cultural Studies – Story-driven history, geography, and cultural awareness activities.
The Learning Canvas is faith-neutral and aligned with California state standards. Instruction does not include critical race theory, gender/sex education, or other specific ideological perspectives.
*NOTE: We are not a faith-based organization. We are independent of the facility in which we operate.
